Tina Balke (wholeSEM Research Associate at the University of Surrey) gave a presentation on modelling household energy practices at the Dagstuhl seminar on Multi-agent systems and their role in future energy grids this May. The invitation-only seminar was attended by experts from the areas of multi-agent systems modelling and energy experts. The aim of the workshop was to discuss ideas for future smart energy grids. In particular the idea of prosumer collectives, i.e. collectives of households that are consuming electricity but also produce some (e.g. via solar panels), has been elaborated.
