Co-Investigators from the wholeSEM team met with senior policy makers from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) to discuss long term energy needs for DECC. The meeting focused on modelling needs for DECC at the whole systems level, for specific infrastructures and energy vectors, and specifically to support onward developments of DECC’s Heat Strategy. The meeting had representation from the Chief Economist’s Office, the Science and Innovation Directorate and the Strategy Directorate.
