Prof Neil Strachan and wholeSEM consortium modelling colleagues from University College London, met with a delegation from the Prime Minister’s Office Singapore. This fact-finding delegation represented Singapore’s National Climate Change Secretariat and was led by the Senior Director of NCCS, Mr Tang Tuck Weng. The meeting focused on the interface between energy systems modelling and energy/climate policy engagement, with specific discussion on the UK experience with the MARKAL/TIME family of models over the last ten years.
