wholeSEM's University of Surrey team are recruiting for a Research Fellow for the final 14 months of the project to support the analysis and integration of the quantitative and qualitative data on energy intensive domestic social practices collected by the project so far.
The University of Surrey team, at the Centre for Research in Social Simulation (CRESS), based in the Department of Sociology, are building an Agent Based Model to explore domestic energy consumption.
We invite suitably qualified social scientists with strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills to apply for the position. The Research Fellow will be responsible for collating, organizing, analyzing and assisting with the writing up of the qualitative and quantitative data collected through walking interviews, an online survey and the monitoring of domestic energy use. They will also assist with the development of the agent based model and supplying our partners with relevant data to inform their models. Other research activities include data collection, participating in research discussions with academic partners, writing reports and presenting work at conferences.
This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2017. The post will be located within the Department of Sociology at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK.
